This was the painting which started me off on an extensive series inspired by walks in the local forest. Above Dalguise are the ruins of an old hunting lodge called Stewartfield and this is the old curling pond. At a height of over 1500 feet it would have frozen more consistently than ponds nearer the valley floor. It is a very atmospheric place.
Now framed in a beech frame. Currently in Hatton House Gallery.
Medium: Mixed media on ply board
Size: 30cm by 30cm
