Majorelle Blue/Yellow Pot

This painting is part of a recent series based on photos, sketches and my travel journals made during visits to Morocco.   This particular painting is inspired by the stunning Majorelle Gardens in Marrakesh. also referred to as the Yves Saint Laurent garden.  It is a stunning shady garden just outside the walls of the medina.   Like the city itself, it is a visual treat; and is famous for the deep, ultramarine blue walls.
