Put The Flags Out

Put the Flags Out is an expression that my Grandfather used to use. Do you have these sort of phrases from your childhood that you’re never quite sure whether they are specific to your family or are actual phrases? I get funny looks sometimes with some of the things i come out with!

Well, this one is a real phrase.  I checked.

And I hope we’ll have good reason to be putting the flags out very soon in 2021!
