Discover the Joy of Art Through the Letterbox: Introducing Gathering Light Print Club

I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on in my studio: Gathering Light Print Club. It’s a way to bring a little art and seasonal delight into your life — or someone else’s — every month.

Each month, members receive a beautifully packaged A5 print, alongside a mini zine with stories, seasonal observations, and the inspiration behind the artwork. It’s about more than just the print itself; it’s a moment to pause, enjoy, and connect with the changing light and landscapes I love to paint.

Much of my inspiration comes from daily dog walks around the local area. I notice the seasonal changes, the small details that often go unnoticed — a shimmer on a puddle, the way bare winter fields flood and turn from matt brown to sparkling reflective surfaces. As a child, I was always told when taking photos to keep the sun behind me, but I’ve always loved backlit scenes and the magic of beautiful light — it’s what I most often try to capture in my paintings. That sense of noticing and celebrating the ordinary in a new light is at the heart of Gathering Light Print Club.

The idea came from remembering the excitement of opening the post as a child. That small thrill, the curiosity and delight of finding something just for you, inspired this subscription. I wanted to recreate that feeling for art lovers today, whether they’re building their personal collection or sending a thoughtful gift.

Subscribers can choose an ongoing monthly subscription for themselves, or a three-month gift subscription for someone special. Occasionally, there are small surprises in the post, and whenever I create an original piece for Print Club, one subscriber is randomly drawn to receive it — a little extra way to make the month special.

If you’ve ever wanted a reason to pause, open the post, and enjoy something beautiful, Gathering Light Print Club is designed to do just that. You can join here [link to subscription page] and start receiving your own little moment of delight each month.

If you like, I can also tighten this into a slightly shorter, punchier version for readers who skim, keeping all the inspiration details but making it quicker to read online. Do you want me to do that?
